ON THE DEMOCRATIC TICKET AS THE PEOPLE'S PRESIDENT

Atlanta, Georgia USA-January 15, 2007: John Joseph Kennedy was a write-in candidate for President of the United States in the 2004 election when he stood as a "True Democrat". Today he announces his candidacy for President of the United States in the 2008 U. S. Presidential election on the Democratic ticket as "The People's President".

In his 2004 campaign, Kennedy had a powerful slogan to "Right the Wrongs of America!", and spoke out for the voices that have been ignored and silenced in this country. He has taken that experience, been transformed by it, and is officially running on the Democratic ticket for 2008. A formidable candidate, Kennedy has been dubbed: "The People's President", and "The Internet President", with a profound campaign slogan for 2008, "JJK - The Fulfillment of the Dream!"

John Joseph Kennedy is not a typical politician. He is a public servant for all humanity who is standing up to be President. A seventh-generation American Democrat, Kennedy is not owned by any big corporation, oil company, pharmaceutical company, organization or lobbyist. He is beholden to no one except God and the great people of America. This is his strong suit. This is what enables him to bring integrity, extraordinary vision, hard work and a clean slate to the Oval Office.

One of the greatest political and humane errors in the history of America has been the war in Iraq. Right from the start John Joseph Kennedy, as a concerned citizen, stood up and spoke out to oppose the war in Iraq, whereas some of the candidates currently leading the Democratic presidential preference polls like Senator Hillary Clinton and Senator John Edwards did not. In this, John Joseph Kennedy distinguishes himself from the rest of the followers on the Democratic ticket as a leader that has always had the best interests of America at heart.

Because of his great interests in humanity, Kennedy has attracted attention and supporters from many nations throughout the world. Globally, people introduced to his campaign and platform, and what he stands for, are excited and hopeful for a positive future for the world. Already people are singing Kennedy’s new campaign song, The Peoples President - The Song of Present Hope, which was written in the inspiring light that Kennedy evokes in others when they meet him.

Kennedy did not vote for the war in Iraq or the Patriot Acts because of how they strip away our freedom to live peaceful, private lives. These illegal, invasive governmental activities have become "legal" and present laws thanks to every Republican and Democrat who voted these in. Over and over again, Kennedy stood against the blank check spending in government. In fact, John Joseph Kennedy, a true Democrat, stood up against all of this and warned of the perils they would bring to America and the world. His vision shines through today, and has proven he was right.

Kennedy is in favor of universal health care, a compassionate program to help the poor and homeless in America, including the many victims of Hurricane Katrina, children's education and safety, a Department of Peace, non-violence in the media, environmental issues and environmental justice, stem cell research, a significant increase in the minimum wage to meet the needs of the average American and middle class, increase in wages and benefits for the United States military and law enforcement, more American exports, better jobs and entrepreneurship for America. Kennedy is adamantly opposed to all illegal immigrations.

John Joseph Kennedy has known the brink of poverty and the hard work that it takes to earn an honest dollar. This has made him into a great entrepreneur and innovator, with an impressive list of business accomplishments. Kennedy understands the plight of the poor, the average American, middle class families - some of whom are only a paycheck or two away from being homeless, small businesses, and the rising home-based business owners, many of whom are single parents who need to stay home and spend time with their children. Children need and deserve to have the love, attention and nurturing of a parent who is present in their lives. Kennedy stands up for ALL people.

Kennedy is in full support of programs, scholarships, mentorships, grants and loans to help EVERYONE succeed; not just the few at the top! He is also in support of a significant increase in the average hourly wage. Kennedy says: "The new minimum hourly wage will barely cover a combo meal at a fast food chain! This is outrageous! Yet, for a few dollars, we work hard and are forced to give up our personal inalienable rights, dignity and freedom. What a price for 'freedom'?" Kennedy asks.

"We are a family here in America and we must help each other. It is a crime that since the current administration began 6 years ago, the United States of America has increased its deficit by almost $3 trillion dollars. Where did it go? How much was spent to destabilize the America people? How much was spent on American families and American children? The homeless, the poor, the orphans of America? The sick, infirmed and dying in America? How much was spent on our Education? Our environment? Clean water and air? Oceans and marine life? Global Warming? Big corporations and those who are profiting from the wars should be held accountable, and taxed accordingly. Too much is taken, not much is given!" Kennedy says. 

On Political Correctness, Kennedy says: “Politics, as we know it today is NOT correct! It's corrupt! So why should any American adhere to proper social etiquette based on anything political? This is repulsive to me. It is just another means of human manipulation and control by some twisted, self-righteous politicians disguised as Human Beings. Political Correctness is nothing more than one of the oldest military tactics on this planet: separate-and-divide/divide-and-conquer. God gave us all free will. That is our spiritual journey on this earth. Social etiquette and values should be our moral compass. It has served us well for millennia. I will abolish Political Correctness as we know it today and support love and compassion for all humanity.” Kennedy says.

Kennedy has led a fascinating, multi-faceted life. He has been involved in entrepreneurial, creative and public service endeavors for many years. In 1984, Kennedy created Richter Duck, a fun and educational cartoon character and earthquake preparedness program entitled Richter Duck's Operation Quake-Quake. He served as public service spokesmen for earthquakes and other natural disasters. In 1995 Kennedy created characters and music for an existing educational model for children and adults with learning disabilities. In 2005 he created and produced a CD package and business model on entrepreneurship, Creativity & Entrepreneurship: The Creative Evolution of an Intellectual Property. John Joseph Kennedy (JJK) is part of the historic Kennedy family of Charleston, South Carolina, that came to America seven generations ago. Kennedy is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Michael Francis Kennedy, III from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, grandson of Dr. and Mrs. Michael Francis Kennedy, Jr., and the great-grandson of South Carolina statesman, Congressman Michael Francis Kennedy Sr., and Margaret Hand Butterly Kennedy of Charleston.
